How to make Tuna Rice
Introduction
This delicious looking rice is called tuna rice. This is a dish of fried tuna and carrots mixed with rice. This is an original school lunch menu from my hometown. I ate a lot of these in elementary and junior high school. I still love this! I chose this menu because it is easy to make at home and delicious. I am going to show you how to make a delicious tuna rice dish.
Ingredients for 2 servings
2 cups rice
Enough water to cook the rice (400ml)
1 can tuna
1/2 carrot
seasonings
2.5 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)
1 teaspoon cooking sake
2 tablespoons sugar
How to make
1. Cut carrots into 5-mm widths of thin strips.
2. Mix seasonings together.
3.Put the oil from the can of tuna in a frying pan.
4.Saute carrots.
5.Saute until carrots are softened, then add tuna and saute.
6.When carrots and tuna are cooked, add seasoning mixture and saute.
7. Saute until the seasonings are no longer runny, then remove from the pan and place on top of the rice.
8. Mix tuna and carrots throughout rice.
Conclusion
I made this exactly as the recipe calls for and it was delicious. This is an easy way to change the taste of rice, and I encourage everyone to try making it!
